To all of our loyal and supportive customers from To all of our loyal and supportive customers from our Decatur shop, we are posting to let you know that we will be closing our doors in this location tomorrow at the end of the day on February 21st, 2023. It has been a pleasure to serve you at 427 Church Street for the past three years. We didn’t know when we signed our lease in early 2020 that we would also be committing to open in a strange and changed world. In the blink of an eye our build out was delayed and our opening date pushed back, but our staff persevered and this location launched. We are proud of each and everyone of our staff for the almost 4,000 repairs we performed in this location. As happens, our lease came to a close and we had to make a decision to continue on with this location or to consolidate our two stores. After considering all of our options with our landlord and calculating the total loss from crimes of theft of services, shoplifting, and a major burglary, we entertained relocating to another location in the Decatur area but it was just not feasible. We will now turn our full attention to our original East Atlanta location and continue serving our customers there with the highest of standards, with hopes to return to the Decatur area one day. If we’ve earned your business here, we hope to continue doing so from our EAV location. Any open projects in our Decatur location will be moved to our East Atlanta location over the coming weeks to be completed there. We will continue to service our customers in Decatur through February 21st, 2023 for most repairs (phones, tablets, and other same day projects). All longer term projects and repairs that involve soldering or data recovery will be performed in East Atlanta and available for pick up there upon completion. PS5 people! It may be a myth, it may be truth. Eit PS5 people! It may be a myth, it may be truth. Either way this is good practice. Sony’s PS5 utilizes a specific type of Gallium based thermal paste to help take heat away from the main chip on the motherboard. Think of it like a liquified metal, as Gallium has a really low melting point just above room temperature. It does a great job pulling heat away, but there’s one flaw. Storing your PlayStation vertically will cause the special paste to pool on the bottom of the main chip.. this can lead to overheating in some units. Store yours horizontally with the disk drive on the bottom! #themoreyouknow #playstation5 #eastatlanta #screenfixing
