PS5 people! It may be a myth, it may be truth. Either way this is good practice. Sony’s PS5 utilizes a specific type of Gallium based thermal paste to help take heat away from the main chip on the motherboard. Think of it like a liquified metal, as Gallium has a really low melting point just above room temperature. It does a great job pulling heat away, but there’s one flaw. Storing your PlayStation vertically will cause the special paste to pool on the bottom of the main chip.. this can lead to overheating in some units. Not our first gimbal, but this was one of the nicer ones! This customer was international, and really needed the wire on this connection resoldered due to a pinch. We took care of it lickity split, Atl style!
